Tape Librarian
(Jakarta Raya)

Responsibilities:

• Oversees tape management systems by operating a computer terminal to maintain control and security of computer tapes
• Controls and coordinates the flow of tapes between the library and security vault.
• Maintains an adequate inventory of magnetic tapes for the computer room.
• Controls the checking of tapes in and out of the automated tape library system.
• Reviews daily data processing production reports and identifies tape-related production problems, master tapes created, jobs completed, tapes to be reissued, and tapes for vault storage.
• Reports processing problems caused by tape errors to supervisors.
• Schedules and conducts a periodic evaluation of the condition of all tapes in the library and reissues or replaces worn or damaged tapes.
• Prepares statistical and informative reports related to the condition of the tape library.
• Maintains records of all tapes issued, replaced, or damaged.

Requirements:

• Associate degree (D-3) in Information System / Computer Science or other related area
• Min. GPA of 3,00
• Experienced as a Tape Librarian in a large data processing facility would be an advantage
• Fluent in English, both oral and written
• Age not older than 27 years old on 01.05.2009

The successful candidate will be assigned for min. 12 months, with temporary employment bases. Only short listed candidates will be notified.
