We are currently recruiting on behalf on our client, a prestigious and leading CONSUMER GOODS Company in Indonesia

Modern Channel Regional Manager - Medan
(Sumatera Utara)

Responsibilities:

  • Managing accounts and growing business in Modern Trade channels
  • Building brand availability & visibility in On Premise channel
    • (1. Horeca : Hotel, restaurant, cafĂ©, food court, traditional food services
    • 2. Proximity : Education & Working places / Specials Events Sports center Entertainment, Recreation & Leisure Places / Traveling High traffic Spots)


  • The primary focus of the role is to grow business in Modern Trade channels and generate new business by building strong brand presence & visibility in on premise channels in Medan area :
    • Modern Trade
      • Manage orders and fulfillment from accounts. Grow sales in outlets.
      • Implement head office key account negotiation in stores and make sure executions are per required standard.
      • Drive in store negotiations for promotional activities and ensure implementations are as per target.
      • Regularly monitor outlet performance and provide feedback to team.
    • On Premise
      • Recruit new on premise outlets as per defined target.
      • Negotiate with proximity customers on utilizing outlet opportunity towards achieving business objectives.
      • Work closely with trade marketing team to generate breakthrough ideas in development of brand visibility and consumer activation to further develop standard implementation guidelines.
    • Develop and implement activities in outlets as per target and periodically evaluate channel performance

Requirements:

  • S1 minimum
  • Fluent in English & Bahasa Indonesia


  • Experience & Skills:
    • Proven track record in managing modern trade and on premise outlets
    • Experience in traditional retail distribution will be an advantage.
    • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
    • Effective and successful negotiation skills
    • Good understanding of brand & trade distribution strategy
    • Good project management (planning, resource management, monitoring and evaluation) capabilities
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills


  • Essential
      Has significant experience with local Medan modern channel management.
    • Min 2 - 3 proven, successful & sustained track record within a Major FMCG company
    • Excellent knowledge in trade dynamics and brand activities in trade level
    • Good project management capabilities
  • Desirable
    • Sales and distribution and/or Key Account experience
